Mr. Sumit R. Sharma is a Partner at Expert Legal Services and an Advocate-on-Record in the Supreme Court of India with substantial experience at the Bar. He has been enrolled with the Bar Council of Delhi since 2008 and qualified as an Advocate-on-Record in 2016. He is a law graduate from Bangalore University and was previously associated with Kochhar & Co., Delhi office., before joining Expert Legal Services.
Mr. Sharma has advised and represented domestic and foreign clients across sectors including infrastructure, real estate, retail, pharmaceuticals and healthcare, FMCG, education, entertainment and broadcasting, and telecommunications. His practice covers civil, corporate and commercial litigation and arbitration before the Supreme Court of India, various High Courts and other courts and tribunals.
He also has extensive experience in intellectual property matters, particularly trademarks and copyright. His practice includes strategic advisory, prosecution, portfolio and brand management, infringement and passing off actions, cancellation/rectification and opposition proceedings, as well as negotiations, settlements, licensing and assignments.
